Ok so here is the deal. I am a current Masters of Social Work student in the US and found this really cool program I would like to attend in Toronto at George Brown College. The program (Assualted Women and Children Counselor) and offers an Ontario Diploma. My question is; My MSW is a much higher level of education, does it matter when obtaining the student permit? I would like added education on working with high risk women and children issues and also experience Canada.

  1. I think you mean Toronto?

It should not make that much difference.  Though you probably should ask yourself if you really want/need to go back to school at a lower level.  You would probably be better off doing your PhD at Toronto in the area of Assaulted woman and children.  You would get much more.
