Stuff i need to know about 1st day of high school, Freshman year

Question

ok im just tryin to understand some high school things that im confused with. its my 1st freshman year in high school so im a little nervious.

ok the 1st question is: do u have to take your backpack with you to your class', i mean like can u go to your locker get the books you need and put your backpack inside and just go to class without it?

question 2: can u go to your locker anytime between class' to get the stuff u need for just that class?

question 3: in the 1st day of school do u even need your books from your locker? i just wanted to look for my locker and then go to my 1st period class.

High school isint nearly as confusing as you think it is the first time you have to go.  No you dont have to take your back pack to class, you can go to your locker anytime between classes and im not sure what they will have you do the first day because im pretty sure that every school is different with that kind of thing.  One extra peice of advice, BE YOURSELF, dont change to fit in, and relax, trust me, it wont be as bad as you think.

Freshman year is alot of fun. Just don't procrastinate on doing your homework. Time flies by, if you wait to do your homework then before you know it, it will be due. I don't know about the locker thing because my school doesn't have any.

All schools are different. Usually they have breaks inbetween classes. And don't c**p yourself it's your first day. You wont really need your backback.

2. As long as YOU manage your time correctly.....if you're late to class it's your fault....except the first several days of school.....

1. yes of course you can go to you're locker =]. depending on how big your school is though, you may want a backpack because classes are spread out throughout the school and you may not have time to go back.

2. yes. you can go anywhere during any passing period. but be careful they are alot shorter than you think

3. no. at my highschool the first day we just go to class maye bring a spiral and a pen. teachers wil tell you what you are going to need and possibly hand out text books.

Some schools do not allow you to carry your coat or backpack with you to class. You should read the school's guide book.

Depending on where your locker is and where your class is you may or may not have time to get there and back on time for class. My daughter needs to take everything she needs for her first two classes because she doens't have time to get back to her locker and be on time for class. If you have math(or any subject) first period and already have your math book, then yes you need to take it to class the first day. You can even expect homework the first day.

Don't get too freaked out. Teachers realize freshman don't have a routine yet and are still just trying to find the classroom they are in. Things are always hectic the first day.

Know when homework is due and get it in on time. Teachers are not going to be reminding you of when test are or when papers are do. You must keep track yourself. If you miss a day it is up to you to get your missing work, not the teacher.

Listen to annoucements or check with the front office to join up with clubs. This is the best way to meet friends.

dude, you can bring your bag with you or leave it in the locker theres no specific rule about that but most people leave it in the locker less hassling  and just have fun, i remember my  highschool freshman year it was fun, meeting new people, seeing old mates, making new friends and being in a whole new environment.

1. maybe if your school has lockers. mine doesn't so you have to carry it everywhere

2. you have to go to class prepared.  if your teacher lets you then yes. if you ask to go to the bathroom and do that instead then yes

3. no, they just give you syllabuses and introduce you to what you will be learning. it's boring but time consuming.

don't fail any classes at all. if you ever fail a class don't let it be in your freshman year. classes are so easy this year. develop study habits because after freshmen year sophmore classes will hit you hard.

Q1: you can do that, *but* be careful, and make sure you have absolutely everything you might need. your teacher might get a little snippy if you have to go back to your locker to get a calculator or something.

Q2: yes absolutely. as long as you have enough time to get what you need and you won't be late, that'll be fine.

Q3: i really doubt that you'll need your books, i'm surprised that you even have them already. teachers will anticipate that a lot of people will show up with nothing but a pencil, so they'll probably be really lenient, especially to the freshmen. so anyways, just go ahead to your first period class.

my #1 tip is to not completely obsess over anything, but don't slack off and be stupid either. make high school a good memory.
