Stun guns for my girlfriend?

I want my girlfriend to have some security when walking to her car (she has a late night job and has to walk a far distance to her car), and i want to get her a taser, stun gun, whatever u want to call it. My friends spent a huge amount of money on a taser and it amounts to nothing more than a party gag that shocks you, but does nothing else! i want something that can leave the guy paralzyed for a few minutes, or at least keep him at bay so my girlfriend has a chance to run/drive away/etc. Another problem i notice...is that even with the police grade stuff, the guy is shocked for 2 seconds and then he can get right back up! What should i get her guys!?and it needs to be in australia

Try to get her an escort first of all, maybe a person who is leaving the job at the same time or something, maybe even the boss or manager or supervisor at her job, predators will less likely prey on multiple people together. Also, that option is free, while a taser as far as I know, is illegal under possession of regular citizens, and is probably extremely expensive to get a hold of. Chances are, you're probably over thinking this and worrying more than you need to.

Pepper spray is a start to an effective way of escaping an assault.

A Tazer takes training and to deploy it takes skill. You have to get it out and it needs to hit the target. Best are the handhelds that you just press against a person.

If someone is high, drunk, has their adrenaline going or whatnot no device is going to be 100% eeffective.

The number one thing is to learn awareness. People pounce on people who walk a certain way. They also wait for a certain moment. I occasionally teach a women's self defense course.

One of the biggest things statistically is when women get in a car. They mess with their keys getting in and once in fiddle with their stuff. Another is to not keep anything of super import in a purse. If threatened they can throw it and run like h**l. Or be mentally prepared to just kick a guy in the knee with no discussion.

There are bunches of things....... but having the right midset trumps all. I am a serious military professional and taught my small little wife these things. She got the whole thing and even being small she gets it. Even I would not wish to try to suprise her in an ally.

Pepperspray or a handheld used properly is the way to go. It is all about the suprise thing and being ready.

I heard it's an excellent s*x toy as well. Get her a perfume that smells like Sh_t, p**s, Vomit, AZZ, Stank v****a, cheese, spoiled milk and spoiled meat onion's and garlic. Or you can just  Get a mask that looks like Hillary Clintons daughter That will keep anyone away.

hmm maybe pepper spray that will hurt em bad enough so they cant see so she can get away. or a hand bag sized pole or bat so at least shes got some self defence. ive got one in my car :)

First of all,tasers only shock the person for about 5 seconds instead of 2 but the muscle spasms go on for much longer. I would suggest not using a taser but instead get her a concealed weapons licencse and a nice pistol. Id suggest go on cabelas and go under hunting on  black powder pistols and youll see a gun labeled derringer in a book. The book is labeled law of self defence-Its a book that looks like a book but in it is a gun. If she carried it and someone came up to her she opens it pops out the pistol and pop the dude. It cost about 160 cash. Good deal. Hope this helps.

     If she has a record she is kind of out of luck with the conceled weapon deal. I dont know austrailas rules. But if she does have a record Im pretty sure she might be able to still have a black powder weapon but im once agian not sure about australias rules and regulations.

Get a real gun. Much better defense. A guy with a few 9mm bullets in him isn't going to hurt anyone.
