  1. What is a noun?  A person, place or thing.  Nouns usually act as the subject or object of verbs.

What is a clause? Part of a sentence, usually containing a subject and verb and joined to the rest of the sentence by a conjunction.

So you are looking for clauses that act as nouns.

Look at the first sentence.  What is the verb of the sentence?

    "WAS"

What is the subject?  (What WAS?)

"THAT THE TEAM DID NOT WANT TO PRACTICE" WAS...

Got it?  Good.  At least you can get 10% on the assignment, eh?
