Clearly the Roughriders would win.  Most Canadian teams should win when playing on a Canadian field under Canadian rules should beat the majority of American teams simply due to the style of game that is played.

The Canadian game is a spread out wide open pass oriented game, the American game is very dominated by the run.

Not to mention the football is bigger in the CFL so that may pose a problem for a QB that has been throwing a NFL sized ball from before high school.

The all around better football players are in the NFL, but the different rules of the games makes the answer to this question not all that obvious.  The CFL game lends itself to smaller players who could not make as much of an impact in the NFL because of the size of the field (Ex Vaughn, pinball, even Flutie wasn't given a chance for a long time).  Are the smaller players less athletic, no.  They could just not succeed in the NFL.  The NFL style Quarterbacks would also have difficulty with the quick clock for awhile before they became accustommed.  I think it would be a close game that could go either way.  For those of you who keep saying the CFLers can't make the NFL team, open your eyes there are many ex-NFL players who have tried and got cut from the CFL.  It is a different game.

Considering the last NFL(AFL actually)/CFL game was won by Hamilton(Ti-Cats) over Buffalo(Bills).    who knows.

there is a massive amount of NFL cuts who can't make it in the CFL, heck Ricky Williams went from NFL star to so-so(at best) in the CFL.

Using CFL rules the CFL team has a distinct Edge because NFL teams are not built to play that way, they would be getting penalties non-stop and unlike popular beleive the talent difference is not that large.   Now Maybe if you take a team with an Ex-CFL star QB like Garcias bucks.   Then there is a decent chance NFL team would win.    I would love to see the time counts Payton Manning would get, teams getting confused over punting on 3rd down. haha the CFL team winning and NFLers crying.

The Roughies (or any CFL team ) would lead for a while but the outstanding pure skill and numbers of the NFL team would prevail. I am the world's greatest CFL Fan. but I am pragmatic enough to realize the skill of NFL players. Our game is a better game it isn't gimmicks it is a better game. The NFL players are better players. Unfortunately it's true. Would you play in Canada for $250,000 or in the USA for    $4 Million. I hope you didn't say CFL because our players are not more stupid.

Stupid question? I think it's an interesting thought. As many have said the NFL attracts better pure athletes but as was pointed out, if you use CFL rules, including fielding Canadian players.... it sort of becomes Joe vrs the Pro's
