Stupid partner . . .?

I am doing a project and my partner won't participate! How do i get him to work!?!?!?!

Tough luck! I know it sounds kinda harsh, but that's the way life is, kiddo! Get used to it there will always be at least 1 person who bums off the work and will always get credit... sigh. Take a deep breath go up to your partner and tell himthe project counts for 67% of the grade, make sure she/he does NOT tell the teacher though. Tell him/her they will be watching to see who participates or NOT. That should give her/him a cook in the butt!

Let the teacher know he is not interested in participating and you would like another partner. If the teacher does not place you with another partner do the project yourself and let the teacher know it was due to your partner not participating!

Talk to your partner and try to get him to work with you. Maybe he's not lazy, maybe he just doesn't know anything and is too afraid to admit it? Either way, if he doesn't start pitching in after that, go to the teacher. Let the teacher know that you've attempted to engage your partner in the project to no avail. Then see if the teacher will assign you a new partner. If that doesn't work, or if there's no one else available to be your partner, then maybe your teacher would be willing to grade you guys separately? That way, if your partner messes up, then it won't affect your grade.

If none of that works, maybe your teacher will make an exception and let you do the project by yourself?

I've been in this situation, but it wasn't as frustrating because in my group project of 5 ppl, only 1 was lazy/dumb, so the rest of us could still split the work and get a good grade. Good luck...
