Stupid question but I just don"t know...?

I'm interested in purchasing a companies stock but I just found out that another corp. is the controlling stockholder of that co. Please advise on which companies stock I should purchase. Thank you

  1. not to complicate things, but there at minimum a few factors to consider before making a decision. Are you looking for fast growth with more risk? if this be the case you could go with the company that has the smallest number of shares outstanding. just because one company owns the other, and assuming that they are in the exact same line of business, the two companies' balance sheets fundamentals and future outlook could be as far as the east is from the west. right now if you want zero risk and stellar performance with no taxes on gains, buy physical silver and hold it for a number of months, you will make out like a bandit. precious metal  and mining stocks, oil stocks, and commodity (as in food) stocks will all perform like champs until the dollar goes to zero. i have spared you the song and dance.


  2. You should buy the stock of the Company you want to own. Many companies own other company's stock, just think of the other large Corp as being a large shareholder. That's it.

    Now if the company you want is a subsidiary of the larger corp. then you will have to buy the larger Corp.

  4. From whichever place you get the best for the cheapest price. We don't stop using google search and start using Yahoo! search just because Yahoo! has a considerable stake in Google.
