North London clubs, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, are reportedly interested in signing the player but Italian side, Juventus, are in pole position to snap up the centre-back. The German International has established himself as one of the most reliable defenders
in the league. Tottenham and Arsenal scouts have regularly monitored the defender throughout the season and a deal is on the cards in the summer transfer window.
A source close to the player has confirmed that the player will definitely be leaving the club in the summer transfer window and a host of Premier League clubs are in race to battle it out for the promising defender.

Gabriel Heinze eyeing Juventus move
Olympique Marseille left-back, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gabriel-Heinze-c14310, has hinted that he might leave the French side at the end of the ongoing season. The Argentinean has admitted that he is most likely to join Italian side, Juventus before the start of 2011/12 season.
Heinze signed for Marseille two seasons back from Real Madrid and played a pivotal role in guiding the French side to winning the Ligue 1 in his debut season.
"There is little chance of me staying, but that is no problem for me and it is no problem for Marseille. I have other projects in mind. Juve are a very big club and it would be perfect for my career if I could sample Italian football.” Added Heinze
The 33 year-old added that he has played for some of the top sides in the world and would relish the opportunity to play for Juventus in this time of his career. The Old Lady have struggled this season and are definitely looking to add a few experienced
personnel to the defensive department.
