Stuttgart’s Fredi Bobic targets win against Borussia Dortmund- Bundesliga news
VfB Stuttgart’s Sporting Director Fredi Bobic aims to win against his former club Borussia Dortmund this weekend. He claimed that it will surely be an exciting game and admits that both sides are capable of securing a victory in
the clash.
The former Dortmund striker is also eager to meet his former teammates from the club and is certainly wary of the threat the German champions can be.
Stuttgart and Dortmund are only two points apart and the match could be vital in deciding which team has the potential to challenge for the title at the end of the season. The Borussians are in second place with 19 points whereas
Die Roten are fifth with 17 points.
Bobic is eager to face his former team and insists that it will be a special game for him as he has played for both the teams during his career. The Director added that he is looking forward to meet his teammates during the Dortmund
days namely http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sebastian-Kehl-c32732.
“I liked playing against Dortmund and I also enjoyed playing for them. It's a special game for me, because I'll meet many of the players I played with, for instance Roman Weidenfeller and Sebastian Kehl. It's a special game for
me,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The former German international is wary of what the German champions are capable of and warned his team against complacency. He stated that the team will look for their opportunities and make sure the opposition makes some mistakes.
“I think when you are reigning champions like Dortmund, you are hunted. We want to hunt them tomorrow that's for sure. That's the consolation for the other teams. When you win everything, teams chase you down and that's what we'll
try to do,” the former forward concluded.
Stuttgart have been impressive this season and are coming from an impressive 3-0 win over FSV Frankfurt in the DFB-Pokal in mid-week. A win against the defending Bundesliga champions on Saturday would take them a point ahead of
Jurgen Klopp’s team and will be the sixth victory in the league this term.
