Stuyvesant High School?

Question

For previous freshman at Stuyvesant High School, what supplies do you really need for the first day of school?

I'm probably taking Math, Global History, Biology, Freshman Composition, and Spanish. What supplies do I really need to bring on the first day, because I heard that the school basically provides you with most of the supplies you need and you only need to bring a minimal amount.

Well students usually use a binder with dividers so basically they only need to carry this one binder for school. It's also the most efficient idea because you can just take out your notes from each class and leave them at ohme becuase you really don't need to carry old notes to class after you take a test, but it's best you keep them organized at home so when you study for your finals, you have your notes. Also, I have had some teachers who ask students to bring back all their notes from the entire term at the end of the term and they actually grade them, so you woundn't want to be caught unexpected. 5-Subject notebooks are also good ideas, but unfortunately, they are heavy and well, very expensive. Some also use separate notebooks. I actually bought those folders with the looseleaf fasteners in the middle because it's easy to use; it's like a notebook and a folder combined into one. Also, I think it's neater than a binder. For math, you might want to invest in a graphing calculator because they are truly magical. You can store programs, graph equations, and play games when your teacher is being a bore. The first day, hm, you don't really need much. Maybe like some pieces of looseleaf because most teachers just ask you to write your information down on these little cards where they will write down your grades. Bring pens, pencils, your student ID (if you got it already).
