  1. wash around it, try not to touch it.

  2. An old wives tale is that if you rub an 18 carat gold ring on it (a wedding ring usually) then that will cure it. I've no idea how true that is!  It may be an ingrowing eyelash or something.  The doc will give you antibiotic drops that will sort it. Chances are it will be going by tomorrow anyway, they don't last long, your tears act as an antibiotic to some degree.

You're lucky that there is no lump, I had a sty years ago and there's still a little blob of skin where it was.

  3. used cold tea bag on the eye works a treat!!

    trust me on this one

  4. don't worry about it

  5. rub it with a gold wedding ring

  6. Nothing you can do, sorry to say, will go of its own accord.

Was often said due to being a bit run-down but this is now been discounted. I wish you well. Terry.

  7. You'll be fine for an eye examination, but what you should do is use a flannel, run hot water on it, and let it cool until it's warm, and put pressure on the sty with the flannel, it needs to pop, but only when it's ready, think of it as a Yellowhead on your face :]

edit; im just trying to help, whats with the thumbs down?? i didnt say i was an expert, god..

  8. You need some golden eye ointment which You can buy over the counter at the chemist or get some on prescription from Your Doctor

  9. yep

  10. It'll be alright, try rinsing your eyes out with optrex,or some other eyewash.

  11. You could get some antibiotic eye-drops from the chemist. If you use it a couple of times a day for a week it will be fine. If you start with it, don't stop until you have done the whole week, even if you think it is gone, or it will come back.

A lot of people think you should just let it run its course without treatment though. I got several and treated them but it wasn't until I just left one alone that my body built up the correct resistance and I've never had one since.

I know they really hurt in the meantime. Try using cold tea on cotton wool to soothe it. Whatever you do, it may not be gone by tomorrow though.
