Question:

Style for Really Curly Hair?

i have really naturally curly hair, like benadette peters kind of hair. its dark brown thick frizzyish curly hair, and if i put no products in it, it kind of looks like the hair that dora the explorer has except its curlier. i use a Catwalk product to stlyle my hair when its wet. but do you know any shampoo or conditioner for my type of hair? and what about haircuts. what would look good on me? layers? and on top of my head, my hair starts out wavy, and then gets really really curly halfway down. should i use a root volumizer to hopefully lay my hair down without making it stick straight out?

  1. use a flattening serum (google it) or use a bit of mousse. i have this stuff from redken to tame curls while adding bounce and shinyness. its 15$ but its well worth it. its the best product i have! ummmm. yea. google it. or its called like (hold on let me go check)

    ringlet 07. yea.

well you could put it in a cute headband or a berret to the side.

you can get this at ulta or any haircare place that sales redken

  2. noooooo root volumizer. I suggest that you just get a good shampoo that adds moisture, best thing to do is to scout out the shampoo/conditioner aisles and you will find one that has a very high moisture content.

only use shampoo every other day, and when you shampoo, focus it all on your scalp and put conditioner on the ends as you rinse. That will cut down on the poofiness

when you come out of the shower, make sure that you put the product on when it sopping wet, and use a diffuser, if you want more volume you can flip your hair upside down, and use the diffuser working up like that.

i suggest you ask a stylist to TEXTURIZE it, like ask the stylist to give you layers that will make your hair feel and look lighter.

  3. use mousse n hairspray...and pin the sides leaving your bangs straighten

  4. i have the same hair!! but i have black hair.  anyways, what i do is shampoo twice then condition twice and also let your hair air dry seriously if u blow dry it'll make it all puffy n u don't want that. after that, tie it into a tight bun if real long or just a plain pony. but if u really want some curliness to show, wet ur hair every hour. and DO NOT get a haircut that will make ur hair even curlier u want it long atleast 18 inches be4 u cutso yeaa! btw do u want curly hair or not?
