Ok I want to get soem really cute eco friendly clothes, but I don't want to spend 90 dollars on each item. I also would like them to be of fairly good quality, any idea where to look?

  1. try to find a store that sells it marshalls does i know that for a fact

  2. I've bought some nice things from Faeriesdance.com and also Shirtsofbamboo.com that were fairly cheap.

  3. You should take a sewing class.  Buy some organic fabric.  Make your clothing.  Or even recycle the clothes that you have now and turn them into something cool.  I do that.

  4. Start at thrift stores -- you're keeping things out of landfills & preventing all the pollution that happens from new manufacturing, which is more sustainable than buying new clothes. Plus, 2nd-hand clothes are very affordable! Vintage clothing is a little more expensive, but also "green" for the same reasons (& you'll find great styles, unique looks, & better quality than clothes made today).

Speaking of quality, sometimes you just have to pay more to get quality. But the old saying "you get what you pay for" is true. If you spend $90 on a well-made shirt or pair of pants, it'll last for years. In comparison, the $10 item made by a polluting sweatshop in China will fall apart after a few wearings & washings. So you'll have to buy more items, & you'll spend more money. The $10 is no savings after all.
