Suarez Navarro has beaten opponents who are every bit as good as those in the draw here and can’t be ruled out. On the flipside, she hasn’t won a WTA Tour title yet, but this is the only WTA tournament where the eighth seed has reached the final. She may have to get past both Kim Clijsters and top seed Victoria Azarenka to take the title here and two big wins on the trot may be too much to ask of the Spaniard.
