The Uruguayan international, who was recently linked to a possible move to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer following his interview to a French television channel, said that he intended on staying at Anfield for a long time.
"I have spoken with people at the club and they know that I want to stay and that I am enjoying myself and am very happy here," he said.
"No one at the club has told me that they want to try to sell me or that I will be leaving.”
