Sub's for the naive 19 yr old female...?

Question

So i know way too little about car audio..the thing i do know is that i want good bass in my car for under $450 (including the amp and the box). I'll get the instillation done at a local shop. but I'm open to suggestions. I have a Mazda6. I previously bought some S****y Rockford Punch 2x10" subs for my Mitsu Eclipse and they are alright but I'm looking for nice ones for the Mazda. Any suggestions? I know my RMS should be higher than 400, so I've been doing research on that.

i have 2 Kicker Comps Black with an audio bahn a8000t amp and man theses subs slam  i mean iv busted my tail light blubs these thing hit soo hard

i love this sub i got 2 in my eclipse, my neighbors hate me but o well, be sure to get an amp that will push it, Boss Audio CX2500D at onlinecarstereo.com  would be great for the sub, not too expensive either and will keep you under your price range

whats wrong with the punch subs? hookup a good amp to them and your good. if you choose to get that sub find an amp thats compatible with it

Yeah the kickers are pretty good. But spend alot on a good amp. Get a class D Mono amp. And please dont buy garbage sony xplod, BOSS,  or kenwood or legacy ect. Alpine, kicker, and rockford fosgate are pretty good mid range amps. and always get at least the rms rating of the sub and rms of the amp matched. So with this kicker having a 750 rms rating (which I highly doubt this could take 750 rms) I would go with at least 500 rms from a quality amp. Try to find a closeout last year model amp on clearance if you can and good luck. The problem with your "S****y" rockford 10's was probably your amp was insuffecient. Spend the extra on your amp it will make a HUGE difference.
