I have 2 brutus subs {1200peak/600rms} and they are dvc 4ohm

The box there in has 2 things were the wires come out

My amp is a 1200watt brutus {1ohm x 1200 / 2ohm x 900 / 4 ohm x 450}

How should i wire them and at what ohm on the amp THNX

(these subs and amp were recomended by brutus)

each sub recomends to run it at 2 ohm but since there are to if wire them 2gether would it be ok at 4ohm or no

would i use just one outlet going into the amp

  1. You could run them at four ohms if you wanted to. I would wire them down to one though. If they are in the box and pre wired to 2 ohms. Just run 2 sets of wires from the amp to the box. One for each terminal cup(in parallel). That will put you at a one ohm load. To wire them at 4 ohms, run the positive to the positive of one cup. Then run the negative to the negative on the other terminal cup. Run a jumper wire between the negative on the first cup and the positive on the second cup(in series).

    I usually prefer to keep all of the wiring in the speaker box. But this way works equally well

  2. Use the link below and wire to a 1 ohm load.  That will give each sub 600w RMS which is perfect for them.

    Good Luck!!!

  3. your amp is 1 ohm stable, so all you have to do is wire everything in parallel and you'll get your 1 ohm load.  all pos to pos and all neg to neg and you'll be good to go.
