  1. First i would NOT recommend that sub.  All kenwoods ever offered buy one get one seem to have ALWAYS had problems.  If youre goona nab up a buy one get one sub, look at the JBL's, or the rockford p1s.  DEFINATELY a helluva lot more reliable.

Any amp will work with any speaker, but you really wanna match RMS rating to RMS rating, and going a little over is okay, but lets not get crazy and double up or anything.  For that pair, I would not recommend more than the smallest kenwood 2 channel amp that is offered, I believe the 6202 to be completely honest.  if you did get the rockfords, or JBL subs, you would definately be pleased with a solid p300-1 or jbl marked gt5a3001 or whatever the model is, either of which are gonna give ya 300+ watts rms in an efficient class d design.

There are a ton of places that can teach you to hook it up, read up on forums and ask tons of questions, read instructions, have the RIGHT TOOLS FOR THE JOB, and some basic knowledge of electrical circuits will make it easy.  Dont forget about the shop that everyone tells you where they got their system though.  Their Installers are usually MECP certified, and have put in more complete systems than you probably have friends, and charge a price for a reason - they are the best in the business (right after me, of course!)  haha.

Box type is completely personal preference.  Sealed box sound awesome (sonically) while ported box are incredibly loud, but more difficult to design.  Bandpass boxes are junk, especially prefabs, but what prefab box isnt?  Then you start getting into other box designs, like isobaric, 8 order bandpass, transmission line, infinite baffle (not really a box, but not really not one either) and about 8,472 other designs.  Youre probably gonna get one of the first 2 I mentioned, the others are incredibly difficult to make, and even harder to understand unless you have a good working knowledge of sound waves and how they work.  Anyways, enjoy.

  2. get the inclosure box. and the amp get somthin thats over 1000 is good for ur sub. anythin thats 1000 watts will bump in ur car. i have a JL w7 12 inch. with a 1000/1 mono .thats **** beat hella loud

  3. you can get all that info from crutchfield, they will send you all the info you need for free, when you buy the subs from them.

  4. it also depends what kind of car you have for what kind of box you need. Truck boxes are different than car boxes
