How do I design a box resonant with 18 Hz? What is the formula?

Basically, you will need to know three out of the four things.  They are 1) Enclosure internal volume (not including the port) 2) the length of the port 3) the cross sectional area of the port and 4) the tuning frequency of the port (in this case it is 18Hz).

What sub are you using that you would have that low of a tuning frequency?  

You can also use a program such as WinISD to figure out what enclosure is best for your sub.  It has a port calculator in it you can use.
