Question:

Subaru Forester owners- which tires do you like?

I have 06 Forester X. Need new tires.

Live in TX so don't have to worry about snow. Mostly lots of rain, flash flooding, and highway driving (80%), driving through muddy roads (20%).

Would like everyday highway driving to be quiet as possible.

  2. Try Tirerack.com and look up tires that fit your car.  Each one should have reviews by users and give you an idea.  It's hard to recommend without knowing how you drive and how much you want to spend.  I think the best performance for the money I have used so far are Kumho ASX's.  I live in Oregon so we do get occasional snow but the tires were excellent in the rain and dry as well.  Quiet too.  If you want to spend a little more, I like the Yokohama, BFG, Bridgestone. Whatever you do, do not buy another set of the RE-92 tire's that your car came with.  They are terrible and when you get your new tires, you will be amazed how well the car feels.

I can't say much about the ones you named because I have never tried them.  I do know Continental is a good brand but overpriced.  Nexen is pretty new company so I have never heard anything about them.  The bridgestone you have there is kind of an off road tire so the noise on the freeway will not be quiet to by elimination, I would choose the Falken's
