Subaru stereo, speakers and "subwoofer"?

Question

i am a music nut and am about to buy a forester (2009). The salesman is telling me that just by adding the subwoofer to the stereo in the "premium" that it will make it the same as the "surround sound" 6 speaker system in the wrx sti..... shall i believe him or is there a major difference??

your better off just buying the car and changing the speakers to some good aftermarket speakers and an aftermarket sub, have you ever looked at the speakers they put in the car?? they are ****.

i say buy the car and put pioneer 3way all around and some kicker subs
