Subary Legacy 2008 Spec. B auxiliary ouput problem?

Question

Auxiliary jack was working great with my iPod but recently it cuts out and the connection is bad. If you move the cord around to a certain position it will work fine but as soon as you tilt it in a certain direction it will only play in one speaker (left side).

Anyone have any suggestions before I take it into Subaru?

The only thing that I would do is check to see if it isn't the ipod cable. Other than that. Get it serviced. Hopefully under warranty.
