Im wanting to study the subconscious mind, Im not interested in the many self help books that claim to tap into your subconscious mind, I am actually wanting to study it. I couldnt find any books at my library though, if anyone knows any good books or websites (I like free), that would get me started on it, I would appreciate it.

Also does anyone know the "magic" behind the subconsious mind, I have heard so many things it seems unreal. Thanks again.

  1. read sigmund freud's writings...

'the interpretation of dreams' is a very good book. 'dreams are the royal road to the unconscious.' freud says.

also, 'the psychopathology of eevryday life' by the same freud is good.

and you can access your own unsconsious and analyse and interpret your dreams...

  2. magic by its very Invention is supposed to be cotrolled with lies and half truths so plausible deniability is always the practice.

witchcraft and sorcery are not the way to investigate ones own subconscience.

i know of an astral projectionist/ remote veiwer, who followed his own experiences. he wrote a couple books about psychic defense if this is where you are going with magic and other secret works.

if you want clinical research of the mind  and not black magic or magical spells and drugs there are many phscyology books

if you are looking into mind control and hypnotism Carla Emery wrote a book which she called and encyclopedia on the recorded instances of hypnotism. she also talked about hypno-narcotic drugs that subdue the mind to be forced into control

shamanism also practices the use of pshycadelic drugs. there are a few authors that have books on this subject too.

in the opinion of christianity, and from the words of prophets of God almost all of these things are considered sins and transgressions of Gods commandments. they are not righteous. recreational drug use being one of them. mind control in the name of sorcery is another.

  3. If you would like to study conscious, subconscious, and unconscious, from an academic and scientific perspective there are colleges, universitities, and institutes across the world that provide individual courses as well as comprehensive programs to accomplish this.

for starters, begin your search by using the term "psychoanalysis" (without the quote marks, of course) to find institutions offering such courses.  For example, in and around the area where I live (Philadelphia, PA) there are at least a half-dozen schools offering such courses as well as the Psychoanalytic Center of Philadelphia.

In addition, if you want to read on your own (and, I agree, stay aay from those so-called "self-help" books), along with psychoanalysis, be sure to read about "dreams."

Have fun -it's a fascinating topic that is not very well understood -good luck!
