  1. well first off you shouldnt be driving through the water.  ok that said how deep, up to 2-3 feet of calm water just barrel through to the other side, deeper thsan that and you really dont get traction, well traction over a foot is rough go (2-3 feet with alot of throttlke and the possiblity of smalshing your body like a cantelope), so you cant just drive down a creek in one.  and realise that you dont have a jon boat, its 4 wheeler.  sorry maybe someone else has figured it out

  2. Jtexas hit the nail on the head.  Making a vehicle "submergable" by off road standards is different.  Its not fully submergable, and yes we do get stalled, stuck, and needing repairs when having a good time.  Plus, many times, the tires actually float the atv.  But you are on the right track if you hit alot of trails with deep water to run the snorkel and exhaust.  Just keep in mind that they werent necessarily made for that as a constant way of moving.

    EDIT

Ok Apparently we dont know exactly what you're talking about, but You're the guy that posted a question about his ATV in the BOATS section.  Now go to your website that people know about your can am

  3. unless can am made them in diesel, you should avoid this at all costs-gasoline engines are not submerging friendly, the over-cooling of the engine block and the infusion of water into the breather tubes are just two of the many problems...

  4. is "submerge" a term used by the offroading community that has a particular meaning, beyond it's usual definition?

remember that the frame and engine block are grounded.  electrical components aren't sealed - starter motor, alternator, spark plugs.  Battery.  We're talkin short circuit city.
