Submersible pump problem?

i have a 6" submersible pump at 1000 feet deep, when i start the pump the whole discharge pipe start to shake like crazy, what could be the problem?

  1. Typically on the discharge of a pump you put a flex fitting to keep the discharge pipe from shaking and possibly cuasing it to fail from fatigue and cycling, especially if it is a positive displacement pump.  If the pump is operating correctly and there is no flex fitting between the pump and the discharge pipe, I would guess that is your problem.


  2. the pump may need to be primed?

    air might have found a way into the line and might need to be purged?
