Submitting my photographs to a card company for them to publish them as birthday cards?

Hi does anyone know how I can do this? Would it be a good idea to write to the addresses on the "contact us" section on websites like hallmark or clinton cards, and send them some examples of my work? Or do they not accept submissions this way? Do you know where I can send them to?

And if anyone has any other suggestions, or has had work published, can you please tell me the name of the companies?

Can someone also tell me roughly what I would be paid if my submissions were used?

what about scanning your photointo your computer and printing them on card ?
