Subsidized federal stafford loans Help!!!!?

I just got a stafford loan they gave me 8,000.00 is this amount for a the whole year how does this work? Im going to need allot more then this???

It depends. Do you go to a four year or a two  year? At a two year, that would be it. If you are at a 4 year, that could be half of the funds for the year. Loans are split into two disbursments. Some schools wait until the official day to release funds, others give them to you at the start of the year. Talk to your school. I can only tell you about my school.
