  1. The pay is around $100 per day for Miami Dade County Public Schools.  I have included the website that expalins what you need in order to be a substitute.  Once you have completed the requirements are issued an employee number, you can go to the schools you want to sub at and leave your contact information.  Just be aware that your are automatically entered into the database, substitute locators like to call the people they know live around the school.  That does not mean that another school will not call, many times locators need someone at the last minute and they will use the database.

You can work half a day or a whole day.  You will have the same hours as a teacher, the locator will tell you the time.  If you are good at your job, expect to be called everyday.  When I was a substitute during the hiring freeze of 1997, I worked 179 days out of 180 (no one called for the first day) and I was being booked by sub locators weeks in advance.

  2. you have to go to a specific website it might be www.aesoponline.com the school board will give you a username and password and you go on that website and check where and what school what date you need to go and from what hour to what hour....it depends how many days a week you work...you only work when somebody is absent. Please give me best answer...I am a sub. teacher..!!

  3. I wanna live there :/
