Question:

Substitute confectioners sugar?

I don't have that or powdered sugar.Anything I can substitute it with?

  1. I think that confectioners sugar tastes kind of funny. I like to take a magic bullet blender or a food processor (kind of big for a small job though) and put regular sugar in it a hit start. Let is sit in the container for a little while before you remove the top b/c it will go every where.


  2. Get regular sugar, a mortar and pestel and pound on the sugar until powdery.  Or, you can use a nut/coffee grider set to extra fine.

  3. Depends on the reason you need the sugar for if your just sprinkling it on something you can put regular sugar in a plastic bag and roll a rolling pin over it. If its for frosting I would recomend doing a ganauch (spelling I'm not sure) but that some chocolate and melt it on a double boiler with some milk.

  4. Take regular sugar and throw it in the blender.  Woola  Powdered sugar which is the same thing as confectioner sugar
