I am preparing chicken fettucine alredo and the recipe calls for the chicken to be blackened. I already have the blackened seasoning but the recipe calls for placing the chicken breast in a cast iron skillet over very high heat. It says to blacken both sides of the chicken and place in the oven for 10 minutes, however I no longer own a cast iron skillet. Is there a pan that I can substitute the cast iron skillet for and still come outwith the same results for blackening the chicken? Or is there another method of blackening chicken? Thanks!
