Hi everyone. Hope you're having a nice weekend. My husband and I are going camping for my birthday weekend.

I want to surprise him by serving wine spritzers tomorrow afternoon. Could I use pure lemon and lime juice instead of soda or sparkling h20? Maybe add a little sugar?

  1. it will taste pretty good, but it wont be the same. you need that extra fizz/carbonation for it to truley be a spritzer.. or else you just have lemon flavored wine.

  2. You need something with fizz, hon. Any lemon and lime soda would work, or even gingerale. It's the carbonation in the sparkling water, club soda, etc. that makes a spritzer a spritzer.

  3. I would use sprite or 7-up....something like that to substitute for the cloub soda or sparkling h20!...you want the carbonation in a spritzer

  4. i don't like the idea of lemon in wine, coke and wine is good together. Or orangina and a bubbly, maybe it would go good with wine too because it is kinda carbonated.

    Have fun:)
