Substitute for snowboard?

i want to try my new snowboard box in my backyard but i dont want to scratch up the base on the dirt and carpet, any ideas on a substitute for a snowboard? maybe a skateboard deck?

take a skateboard deck put ski wax on the bottom and get old carpet and put it on a hill worked good when i tested my box a week ago
