Find V-W

V=(1,1,1)

W=(-1,-1,-1)

My answer: V-W= (2,2,2)

Book says answer is -3. How come?

  1. v - w  = (1 - -1 ,  1 - -1, 1 - -1) = (2,2,2)

    You are correct


  2. Your book is wrong, you are right.  You can't get a scalar by adding or subtracting vectors, the answer must also be a vector.
