Suburban ignition?

i have a 2006 suburban. when i put the key in the ignition to start the car, the key will not move, almost as if it was stucka. i have tried shaking and turning both the steering wheel and the shifter but nothing seems to work. i have also tried pressing the break simultaneously with the things above and it has not been successful. is there something that the keys have in them regarding security that will not let my suburban start or is something jammed?

Security won't stop you from turning the ignition, it will just stop the vehicle from starting. You may need a new key and tumber
