Suburban kid or what?

Question

k. i was born in this place called Alexandria, VA. I lived there till i was 6. it's 6 miles south of downtown D.C. i think there's a lot of criminal stuff going on now and people are pretty poor there. me and my mom and dad lived in an apartment.

then i moved to Loudoun county. and i thought it was a normal neighborhood and all. and we had a 4 bedroom house but that was only for 3 yrs.

then i moved to india cause my dad left and lived in a city. like inner city for 3 years.

and then i moved to fairfax VA. and now me and my mom live in a apartment.

i had NO IDEA that i had been living in the richest counties in America. i've never FELT like a suburban kid cause i never got what i wanted. we have a secondhand car. but im not exactly " hood" either.

THE main concern of mine is.....can i make it in hip-hop?

cuz i know all the BS people get for being from the burbs and all that .

What do you think?

p.s-......-be nice cuz I'm 13................and ya i know i have lots of years to think about my career but music is like my passion.

At 13? you do have a bright future ahead of you and having identified this early what you would like to be is what you should focus on. if it's music that you like go for it! enjoy and learn to really love it. nurture it and grow with it.you went through a lot of places, compose a music out of it. put your thoughts into writing then try to compliment it with notes.good luck!
