Question:

Suburban starting on its own.....

Brand new Chevy Suburban. Has a starter on the key ring. The vehicle starts, all on its own, everyday at 12:07pm. This is no joke, no one is playing around with the key.... How do we shut this off? Do we need a priest?

  1. It's Chevrolet. A priest cannot help you - try a witch doctor.

Seriously though; this car should not be able to start on it's own. The dealer needs to have a look at this car. With all the safety interlocks and sensors that they put into these vehicles nowadays it could be just about anything. And even with the multitude of frequencies available it is still possible for someone else to have the same one as you. Do you have a neighbour that starts their car every day at the same time? Might be worth checking out.

  2. Go into your owners manual and read up on it!! Someone has programed the auto start system! You can change all of this!!

  3. Go into your Driver information center and personalize the settings so that the command start is disabled.

As for the starting on its own at a specific time every day I would almost think that there is some kind of a cross signal interference there. For example a neighbour may have something that gives of the same frequency that your command start runs off of, not unheard off. have you tried taking it a few blocks away from your house and waiting for 12:07 and seeing what happens?
