Suburbs, please help?

I want to find a place in the United States where it is a small community about 4,000-15,000 people, close to a large city ( about an hour or two hour drive to a large city) middle and upper class houses, with trees lining the streets like how the trees are in the malcom in the middle street and in gilmore girls, yards that are at least a half acre, and friendly people, good schools and not in Florida, because climate is important, I don't like it to snow a whole lot like in the midwest, and I like summer temps to not be 85-100% humidity, and I like temperatures at 80-85ºF (high temps) and winter no colder than 40º with the occasional snow

I was gonna say ahwatukee arizona, but it gets up to like 115 on average in the summer. And there's no snow! But there are some great schools out here, and it's pretty. especially in the foothills, newer ahwatukee. It's near phoenix. it's like inside phoenix. it's weird, but it's a nice place.
