  1. Well I suppose he could have wiped his bottom with his bare  left hand after a bowl movement as they do in most Muslim cultures.  That is so much more sanitary, or perhaps I am mistaken.  You could choose not to eat at a sub shop that has bacon, chicken, roast beef, salami, turkey, ham, tuna, or what ever as well on the menu and right next to the veggies!  To give you a straight up answer, don't eat there anymore!  Why you needed my help on this is besides me, but hey...I am here to help!!

  2. well if i was you, i would have just asked him to change his gloves...and if he didnt want to...i would have just walk away

  3. No restaurant is as hygienic as they say.  I worked at Subway about 5 years ago and in the back where they prep the food they don't follow much in the way of cleanliness rules.  I've see a lot of food hit the ground and get scooped up and put out for the subs.  They also used to wash everything in the sink that they did the dishes in.

Blech, that's why I don't eat out anymore.

  4. i think he assed the situation pretty well.

  5. don't just stand there.

most people don't realize that you're a vegetarion.

i say it's your fault for not saying something.

  6. Not to be rude at all, but I would say that if you don't want meat even that close to your sandwich, make a sandwich at your own home and bring it with you for lunch.  I wouldn't expect them to change their gloves for something like that.  No one will.  So, either deal with it and eat it since there is no meat ON the sandwich at all or make your own.

  7. just tell him, bad employee

  8. Basically you have to stand up for yourself I see you stand up for what you believe in so do it for what you eat! You spent your hard earned money on it! Right?Don't let people do you dirty. If you are a vegetarian you should let people know. I've work in fast food restaurants myself and can't tell a meat eater from a non meat eater so just tell them the next time you go. I don't think the gloves carried that much meat onto your sandwich from the other sandwich, but if you feel you need  them to change their gloves tell them to do so. Remember whose paying for the food and who worked for the money.

  9. next time just tell him please change your gloves im a vegeterian or wait i got a better one say please change your gloves im allergice to some of the meats. see problem solve. im soo smart. but i agree subways i been too i always see them change the gloves you must have went to a bad one. my sisiter works at subway and she deals with bad and good customers some she says she  made the whole sandwich for them then they tell her they want her to remake it again. thats sucks. but i guess she has to deal with it. next time be a rude customer for fun just kidding but ya take my advice just say your allergic to meat and ask them to change their gloves.

  10. um....I would just deal and eat the sandwich. its not like he wiped  his nose on it or something.

  11. I used to work for Subway, and honestly, him changing his gloves is the least  of the problem...lol But,  employees are told to change their gloves to between customers, and to wash them before putting on new gloves. Next time just ask them to change their gloves for you. Belive me...they dont mind. Just dont make it a fuss or anything.

  12. Yes, I would be very upset to but I am the type of person that would speak up!  You have to, no one else will and we're not mind readers but to your question of how hygenic do I think Subway is - not very much!  I work for a very small business and we get an exterminator out every month and I sit there and talk to him about all the surrounding businesses he does and one that he talks about a lot is Subway.  He said "I know it looks clean but if anything sits out then that is not good."  I was like well everything sits out, basically.  He said I know but there are ways you can prevent roaches and other bugs.  Yes, he said there were roaches there.  I was shocked because this particular Subway looks sooooooooo clean.  I know this Subway is in my location and not yours but you realy can't trust restaurants now-a-days.  Trust me - I've worked in 5 different restaurants as a waitress and they ALL had roaches.  Where there is a lot of food there are roaches.

  13. If you are really polite about it and explained that it was part of your religion, it shouldn't be an issue. you shouldn't pay for something you know you arent going to eat.
