I am hazarding a guess the chicken isn't free range or anything, but would it be quite fatty and/or bad quality?? I am asking about all their other meats too.

  1. Compared to the everything that's used in the sandwiches, they are very overpriced.  You can go to your local deli and buy meats and cheeses and even breads and make a lot more sandwiches for your money, and the products are usually a better quality than what you would get at Subway.

  2. Not all the meats at subway are healthy foods. (ie chicken fillets) they are very fatty, the best are the roasted chicken. The meatballs - forget it they are so full of fat. The quality of their foods are quite good but the hidden fat in most of their subs is not good because people are lead to believe that they are eating healthy but in fact they might as well be eating McDonald's because only about 8 or so are ok to have - the subs that have less than 8g fat. and that is for a six inch only not a foot long.

  3. The meat at the Subway by us is always fresh looking and tasting.  It is much healthier than anything you will get at a burger joint.

  4. i think it beats any fast food restuarant but dont go with chicken go with turkey. sometimes it doesnt look fresh

  5. I looked at a article about the "grades" fast food places got, and subway got an A-, Chick-fil-a topped them with a A, so, the fact that a "fried" chicken place got a better grade then a healthy sub shop means something.

  6. FALSE FALSE FALSE....

I work at subway once again...Our chicken breast are sent to us frozen and then we either can toast it or microwave it. Actually it doesn't have that much fat in it at all. If you had to get the healthiest sub at Subway you better go with the veggie max. It is a turkey based patty with veggies. Very healthy.

  7. There is a butcher in Brisbane, australia near me where you can buy chicken that's exactly the same as chicken fillets, and sometimes I'll heat them in the microwave and make "subway" for dinner. It's amazing the amount of fat that comes off it though.
