I have a 2001 Honda Accord coupe and i am wanting to put a subwoofer in the trunk. The subwoofer system i'm buying is a 10" speaker and pushes 150rms. I don't want my car to be rattling, i jus want a nice quality Bass sound. Since i'm putting this in my trunk, I was wanting to know if im goin to be able to hear it in the car. Please remember i don't want it shaking my whole car. For info purposes, my back seat does let down but i just want to know if im goin to be able to hear it with it up. thanks

  1. Yes you will hear it. If you can hear S***y 10 watt factory speakers then you can hear an amplified 150rms subwoofer.

  2. yeah u will b good it mat rattle the trunk from outside but u wont hear it but yes it wont rattle your whole car your good

  3. yea you will hear it, considering thats where subwoofers are supposed to go. they are meant to be put in the trunk. 150 watts rms will not be shaking your car, either.

  4. The trunk will rattle not because of a low quality equipment or sound, it because subs cause vibration and will cause loose part to rattle.  You will be able to hear it in your car.

I have 6x9's in my rear with no subs and it rattles my trunk and doors sometimes, and my mirrors shake all the time.  It's possible that you can track down the rattling components and secure them to minimize rattling, but you will get vibration from a sub.

Make sure you buy a quality sub, you will be happy with the sound quality and it will last.

    Good luck
