Subwoofer not working..?

Ok wow i think this is my limit today of questions..

i just barely installed my aftermarket stereo with a sub and amp combo. Everything worked awesome..my aftermarket sub and the one that came stock..but once i closed my trunk..see ya..my aftermarket sub stopped working..what could be the problem?

I would check the following:

- In-line fuse

- Tightness of positive terminal on battery

- Ground lead connections

- Terminal connections on amp

- Check the amp to see if it's entered protection mode

- Check the remote wire

- Check to see if the speaker wire is connected all the way, also maybe the leads to the woofer itself came loose in the box.
