Subwoofer repair?

i have 2 JL w3 and there dual voice coiled. the wires coming out of the cone on one side that comes out and conects to the basket of the woofer that u connect the wire from the amp to its like been broken off. theres only like half of 1/4inch of metal hanging out of the cone for the wire to conect to it.

how can i fix that and were are speaker repair places around Ga.

  1. well that happened to me b4, just get your speaker wire and conncet it to the broken wire, until u can get anotha speaker, cuz actually mine are still that way right now and they work perfectly.


  2. If I'm understanding your question correctly, your tinsel lead is broken (disconnected from the sub).  If you're handy, you can fix it yourself.  You would just need to solder on a replacement piece.  Here's a tutorial on how to do it:
