Subwoofer sound quality?

does temperature effect subwoofer sound? rattling is very annoying and a pain to conquer

  1. it kinda makes a difference, wen the subs r cooler they preform better, and yeah dynamat.....


  2. in a way they do. but not much by outside tempature. the sub themselves get hot so thats why they say dont turn it up to loud you might damage the sub. the amp is really what you have to worry thats why you should put an amp vertical so that way air passes through it to chill it. but yea go with dynomat, dead skin. watch out cause some of this stuff can be very pricey. here go to ebay http://search.ebay.com/dynamat_W0QQcatre... you can get some 4 20 dollars.

  3. no. Only voice coil temperature (over 100degrees of celsius) changed by huge power pushed to the speaker (high wattage)  can make some noticeable difference.

  4. temp has really no effect on it. they do make some soundproofing material that lines the inner of the trunk assuming it is in a car... it really cuts out on the rattle.... good luck
