Subwoofer with stock stereo?

Question

My brother is going to install 2 subs with amp in my 2008 Silverado on stock deck WITHOUT a line output converter. He says that he knows how to do it. Am I going to be able to play no bass on stock speakers and all bass on subs by adjusting the bass on stock deck? Or will that affect the subs as well? Another question is am i going to be able to adjust how much bass is coming out of subwoofers?

you  will be able to adjust the bass on ur stock speakers but not ur subs to do this u will have to get an amp with a bass k**b and just turn it up and down like that if u don't want to pay for that just get a toggle switch and hook it to ur remote wire and just turn everything off when u don't want it on
