  1. i have one 12' 250 watt sub with a 100 watt amp and a valor dvd sceen and it sounds clean not too much or little

  2. 2 12 inch subs in a ported box an a 600-1200 watt amp

  3. It really depends what you want sound wise. You do not need multiple sub-woofers to create alot of bass, just the right box, sub and amp combination. adding more woofers will only add a couple decibels to your sound. Try to match the RMS of the woofer to the outage of the amplifier.

MMATS (in my opinion) are very good products for the money. Good luck with the new system!!

  4. You did not include the price that you are looking to spend...

The best size, and most universal, in producing an all-around sound as a subwoofer is a 12". The way they make 12's these days, they can handle excellent amounts of power, and they Combine the best sounds from the "punchy" 10's and the "nothing-but-low" 15's. It's a perfect median.

You do not need a lot of subs to create satisfying sound and power. One 12", along w/ an enclosure that matches up in the guidelines w/ the manufactures specs, can sometimes give you more than you need.

The best way to match a sub w/ the amp is by the Peak of the amp to the RMS of the sub. Be sure to Always wire correctly, following ohm loads.

So, my opinion, I think the Alpine Type R is about the best sub for the money. First and foremost, it is reliable! It is very durable and produces overall good sound. It handles unbelieveable amounts of power for being a simple sub in it's class. Definately the best bang for the buck. About 130 on Ebay, or a little over 250 w/ a 4 yr. warranty at Best Buy. ...........Read the reviews from other ppl..

Another good middle class sub is the RE Audio SX. Priced between 220-240 online.

Possibly try to Rockford Fosgate P3 or T1. Only problem w/ the P3's, the front of the woofers crack way too easily. Use grills w/ those. The P3's go for about 120 a piece online, and the T1's run less than 200.

If you are looking for a slightly cheaper 12" sub, try looking into the Kicker CVR, Polk MOMO or Alpine Type S. Less power handling (around 400 RMS) and less efficient, but fairly good for the money - they can be purchased online for about 75 per sub.

Also, a few great amps to pair w/ these subs are the Kicker zx1000.1 or zx 750.1 or the MTX ta7801r or ta5601.

(Pay attention to what ohm loads you would be putting into the amp, and what ohm load the amp can handle before purchasing.)

  5. TBH go to the car shop and ask the proffesional folks ad they would know whats the best watts for your car.

    P.S the cake is a lie >:(
