Ok, I am running 2 Hifonics amps. One is a Zeus z600 and one is a Titan. I am running the Titan which is running 400 watts RMS@ 4 ohms bridged to a Hifonics BX10D2 sub. The Z600 I am running bridged to a Kicker L5 10". The HU is a pioneer with two sets of RCA's on the back. I have stinger RCA's running from the HU to a splitter at each amp(that is how hifonics suggested it in the manual) as long as just the Zeus amp is running, no "thumping" but as soon as I plug the RCA's to the Titan, both subs start "thumping at 0 volume. Any help would be appreciated.

  1. It's a Ground problem. Check your Ground from the Titan, make sure the connection is to bare metal. Also check the RCA's to see if they might be bent or damaged. They sell a Ground Noise Eliminator at Wal-Mart for $15.

  2. you should check the ground cables and other cables.

  3. It could be a ground problem, check the amp ground, and also the pioneer HU ground, move it to chassis if possible, not the factory harness. Your pioneer headunit could be the suspect to as they are notorious for a noise problem.
