I finally got my first successful EVP yesterday afternoon at 4:21PM. I used my cell-phone to record it. I had my cell recording in my bedroom with no one else in it, but a urn. I believe the person in the evp is saying, "Liana come" I Googled a site on where to upload the file and the link is http://www.soundupload.com/audio/w6zz7i5vge5tje3 just click download 0216081404.wav I'd also like your opinion on what they are saying. What do you think?

  1. You should have had people listen to the clip and then asked what other people heard without telling them what you thought it said. I assume you think the two squishy sort of sounds are 'Liana come' - didn't sound remotely like it. I did hear a 'hehe' sound a little later though.

  2. EVPs are just auditory pareidolia.  You want to hear something so you listen and listen and listen until you finally find something that vaguely resembles coherent speech.  I wonder how many sound clips you had to listen to before you found one that vaguely resembles a phrase of the English language.

  3. is liana your name?

  4. Keep it for refrence.

  5. There "seems" to be something said on there, but it is really not to clear.  I may be because of the device you used. There are quite a few breaks in the recording as well.

I would suggest using an digital recorder for this.

RCA 256M is a great one to use.

  6. The question now is what are you going to do with it? Post it on a webiste. Use it as documentation What?
