  1. it's not too late to bring those grades up! if you work hard and get mostly As and Bs for the next three years, your GPA will go up.

also, don't forget really good SAT scores can help make up for low GPAs

  2. That's one of the great things about community colleges.  They accept all types of students, good and bad.  It doesn't matter.  And the best part is that you can go for two years and get a job right after.

  3. It depends...which college are you planning to go to?  If you're thinking of going to a University, I would suggest you to bring your grades up.  If you're thinking of going somewhere like Harvard, dare I say that you possibly have no chance?  I'm planning to go to UF (not even an ivy league school), and I heard that some kids with a 4.0 gpa didn't even make it in.  BUT, it's not all about grades.  It also depends on what classes you're taking, if you're in any extracurricular activities/sports, SAT, ACT, etc..  It's your sophomore year, make the best of it, cause seriously, if you slack off, you WILL regret it in a couple years when you apply for those colleges.  I'm a junior this year and I slacked off A LOT last year, making only a 3.4 with honors and AP classes.  I still regret it up till now, and if i had the chance to go back and start sophomore year all over, I would.  Good luck with everything.
