Sudden Internet disconnection from windows live messenger and playstation network

Question

My Bt Yahoo broadband can be pretty annoying but it worked, i could get onto windows live messenger and play Playstation 3 matches online. Now i cannot, i get this error code when trying to log in: 81000306, and my online connection for the ps3 keeps wathering. I went on my computer and network connections and internet connection did appear but as disconnected. Now it has dissapeared completely. Any help with this issue would be very much appreciated :D

Error code 81000306 usually occurs when there is a problem with the .NET Messenger service. one or more of the servers providing it might be down or having problems, with as result that you can no longer sign in. This normally won't take longer then a few minutes/hours

and has nothing to do with BT.
