Suddenly, no sound from my computer. Realtek sound card is checked & working ; speakers are all plugged in;

tested another set of working speakers, and still no sound.

What elsuld it be ?

  1. all you have to do is go 2 da website where you purchase yo cpu let say u bought it at hp go 2 da website and go 2 support check witch computer system you got then look for downloads to solve your problem...


  2. I'd go with un-installing & re installing method. It is windows, you never know when a drift of wind might slam that windows in your face. If that does not work, try going for a system restore. But that would mean that you'd have to update AV & OS & re-add any new H/W or S/W.

    Also just out of curiosity.. Do you still have visualization to show that the file is being played? in Winamp or WMP..

  4. This happened to me once and after checking to make sure the mute button was off, I ended up restoring the computer to an early time, a time when I knew the sound was working.  This worked for me. I never did figure out what the heck happened but was just happy to have my sound back.
